Threat prompts search of plane at Phila. airport
A US Airways flight from San Diego to Philadelphia was searched yesterday after a passenger found a threatening note on the plane. Flight 1500 was detained for about an hour shortly after it landed at Philadelphia International Airport about 3 p.m. and held in a remote location while the police bomb squad searched the plane. Police said the 127 passengers and six crew members were transported to the terminal by bus.

The runway where the aircraft landed was shut down, but authorities said there was no effect on airport operations. The specifics of the note were not immediately disclosed. Police declared the incident under control. There were no suspicious devices on the plane.
