PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CROWNS 2007-2008 MERCHANT OF THE YEAR
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) congratulates International Shoppes as the first “Merchant of the Year” award recipient. The announcement came during the EDGE! Merchant Program celebration September 3 at the Airport Marriott hotel.
Gary Prospeich, Manager of International Shoppes, won two airline tickets to anywhere in the United States, the EDGE! trophy and a $200 Visa Gift Card. His staff will choose from a wide array of prizes.
Also recognized at the event were the Merchant of the Quarter winners for 2007/2008: Rosetta Stone (1st quarter), Le Petit Bistro (2nd quarter), Sky Asian Bistro (3rd quarter) and International Shoppes (4th quarter).
The Philadelphia Marketplace’s EDGE! Program (Excellence Drives Great Experiences) was designed to motivate and reward merchants for providing great customer service to passengers at PHL. Each merchant can earn EDGE! Points for exceeding expectations through great customer service, marketing and training. At the end of each quarter, the merchant with the most points is named Merchant of the Quarter, and the merchant with the most points overall is named Merchant of the Year.
In 2008, EDGE! and other airport initiatives helped PHL to rank highest in overall customer satisfaction for large airports in J.D. Power & Associates 2008 Airport Customer Satisfaction Study.
