Passenger Finds Knife On Flight From PHL
WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. -- A passenger found a utility knife this morning on the vacant seat of a plane flying from Philadelphia International Airport to Connecticut. Authorities said the knife was on U.S. Airways Flight 554 and reported to a flight attendant. An emergency call was made at about 8:25 a.m. When the plane arrived at Bradley International Airport near Hartford, Connecticut state troopers boarded the aircraft, seized the knife as evidence and interviewed passengers. Authorities said no arrests were made and there were no threats involved.

State police Sgt. J. Paul Vance said it isn't known whether a worker left the knife on the plane or a passenger brought it on. The FBI is also involved in the investigation.
