NEW USO SERVICE CENTER SOON FOR PHILLY AIRPORT

The Associated Press

PHILADELPHIA - A new USO center for returning military personnel will open in a few weeks at Philadelphia International Airport. As returning or transferring military personnel fly into Philadelphia, they will be shuttled to the new United Service Organizations location in Terminal A-East. The USO center will include a cyber cafĂ©, comfortable lounge areas, small dormitories, shower and laundry facilities, and even a state-of-the-art theater. Robert Baumann is president and chief operating officer of the USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. He says he expects an increase in the 130,000 troops and their families who already come through the center every year. The old USO center in Terminal D will be shut down.
