US New Service to Europe
  TEMPE, Ariz., May 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways (NYSE: LCC - News) customers have more options for their next European excursion thanks to new service from Philadelphia to Milan, Italy, Stockholm, Sweden, and Lisbon, Portugal. With this new service -- Milan beginning yesterday, Stockholm on June 3 and Lisbon on June 7 -- US Airways will offer 19 daily flights to 16 cities in 10 countries throughout Europe. "Our international route network sets the new US Airways apart from other low-cost carriers, and we are thrilled to provide new international destinations for our customers," said US Airways President and CEO Doug Parker. "We are very grateful to Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street and Philadelphia Airport Director Charles J. Isdell, who played crucial roles in securing these new international destinations for the citizens of Philadelphia and surrounding areas. US Airways offers nearly 450 daily flights to more than 100 non-stop destinations from its Philadelphia hub, which serves as the airline's international gateway with service to more than 15 Caribbean destinations as well as the European cities of London and Manchester in the United Kingdom; Shannon and Dublin, Ireland; Paris, France; Frankfurt and Munich, Germany; Amsterdam, Netherlands and Rome, Italy. More than 5,400 employees serve US Airways passengers at Philadelphia.
