FAA CHOOSES PHL EXPANSION PLAN
By Amy Cherry
The F-A-A has selected "Alternative A" as their preferred alternative for the enhancement of Philadelphia International Airport.
Jim Peters with the Federal Aviation Administration tells WDEL there's a still long way to go with this project, but that he doesn't suspect any flight pattern changes over Delaware.
The F-A-A prefers Alternative A because it doesn't disrupt I-95, it has a lower overall construction cost, and less of an environmental impact.
A full environmental impact statement is due out at the end of the summer. We'll know more then on whether Delawareans could see an increase in noise levels with planes flying over-head.
