PHILA. AIRPORTS GET $6M IN STIMULUS
Philadelphia International Airport will receive $5 million in federal stimulus funds and Northeast Philadelphia Airport will get $1 million, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood announced Wednesday.
The money is part of $10.5 million in funds for Pennsylvania airports.
At Philadelphia International, the money will be used to replace runway pavement and lighting at Runway 9R/27L, the U.S. Department of Transportation said. At Northeast Philadelphia, a taxiway will be rehabilitated.
