US Airways announces new European flights
  US Airways Group Inc. Wednesday announced new round-trip flights linking Philadelphia International Airport to Athens, Greece; Brussels, Belgium; and Zurich, Switzerland. The daily flights will start in late spring and will bring the number of daily US Airways (NYSE:LCC) flights to European cities from the airport to 22.

   "We are working hard with Mayor [John F.] Street and the airport to ensure new, additional international capability for even more international service next year," CEO Doug Parker said. "These new destinations demonstrate our commitment to our customers, our Philadelphia hub and European and international growth prospects. The Athens flights will being May 25 and end Oct. 6. The Brussels and Zurich flights will begin June 8 and will be year-round. US Airways is based in Tempe, Ariz., and is the dominant carrier at Philadelphia International Airport.
